Sequence point

I was troubled because, even preparing all chapters from standard C programming books by Kanetakar, Ritchie n Karnighm. I found some confusinmg tricky questions, at one programming contest at PICT.. For eg. Objective was “What is sequence point..?”
After googling I got ans in just single click.

Dumb world..

Some people in the world don’t have even all five senses evnthought they manage to do all their work. They find the way to solve porblems. And they get the way out of it. I was at jangali maharaj mandir for prayer after a dinner. After prayer, I seen some group of people three ladies and six to seven men moving their hands, expressing with faces to each other. I found these people were dump. These people were speaking just with the movement of hands and facial exxpresssion. I tried to undersatnd, what they may be talking, but I couldn’t get what they are talking. I am so sad, eventhough not having speeches they are manage to do their work. They have created thier own word away from the universe. where they can do their work only with their friends who can express themselves. One lady wering Salvar Kamij was talking to one Handsome jentleman. Actually all of them were in clean, tidy shirt. I don’t think they may be feeling difficulty to talk each other. They were able to express every fact to each other.
I was curious to talk to one of them. So I waved hand to a man from the group, as he just gazed at me. Then, I indicated to sit on the desk besides me. He just tried to talk, finding me unable to talk with him. I asked what he is learning, with action of reading with hands. He told twelth with hand showinh 12 with hands. Then he wrote model colony on his hands. I nodded telling I got hus  point. He trying to ask something else but as i am unable to understand him . he shouted towards his friends. One girls ushered one Gentleman to come towards me to talk with me. I found, I asked loudly to me, “what do you want to talk to him..?”
I asked,”Can you talk.”
“Yes, I can talk…”
“I’m just trying to know about them..” I explained.
“This is our group at model colony.” Then he told to man whome I made sat besides me, within fraction of second. Then all people started talking to each other, keeping me out of their discussion. They are not hindered by my disturbance. Ohh, Why these people will look to my emotions. they know the world is far way from themselves and even don’t want to come into. After some time they left each other saying “Bye bye” by waving hands to each other telling to see on next day.

I seen surprisingly one IDEA sms on my mobile.

Now Shree Ganesha also became digital. And people don’t need to visit the temple. They will get prasad in their hand delivered to home directly.

When I mate Linux…….

In the third year of my engineering, we are introduced to Linux operating system in COEP. Till we have just imagined  “linux is just free OS like Windows.”  Sudip(Comp) and Gayatri(IT) wrote an article on Linux in our CD magazine E-Revista. That time We got little more info about it. Then we have just started second sem ,  Linux Oses were installed in the Lab1. This is the only lab where we could try linux programs. According to course details, we are given assignments of OS(Operating System) which should be done in Linux. But Everyone was new to this OS including staff members. So mam asked to do only some specific programs of MPI functions, multithreading functions etc.
I was trying to understand shell commands and shell scripts in slow pace. After completing third, I was exposed to blind truth. I was attending the presentations given by companies come at COEP campus for placements. I found most of the corporate companies use unix. I lost my place at Amdocs, becase I was unaware of Linux commands and I couldn’t answer questions on linux. Eventhough it was having negative marking scheme, I guessed all question, so it may be reason for not being shortlisted in aptiude.

Now, in this year, We have the subject called compiler construction. We will be using Lex and Yacc tools to generation and construction of compilers. Mam gave us first assignment of Analysing C construct.

Honesty is the best policy.

 I was so surprised to watch over  this incidence. It was a day of raksha Bandhan. So students of my class have unitly  to bunk lectures. I have to complete  Compiler Lab assignment. While going to Lab. I amazed to know one page displayed on the notice bord.
The notice was like this..
“LOST LOST LOST
My pain drive is lost
If who got it contact me
-Jayant Saimani.
contact.no:______”

I know, as Jayant my classmate have lost his paindrive and I think he has attached page there. I was going to turn aside my gaze.  But when again i seen something scribbled below that in easily distinguishable writing, in phaint colored pen.
“I have got your paindirive contact me..
Ravi :_________”

I surprised  to this incident. One guy lost paindrive… And with the hope of getting it announce on notice board….And person who got it written on the same chit to contact…the owner again…

Real world analogy

I installed linux RedHat 5.0. Bhushan gave Linux installation of 5 CD pack. As previously CDs  using previously were spoiled.

The installation was “happy n comfortable”.

 Ya,  Journey was so tricky, awkward n risky.  Person who done it will know the difficulties in it. Risky because you are cutting hard-disk into subparts internally. Windows size had reduced as I separated 10 GB fragment apart.  I seen two cut parts of disk.  

 CDs contained two ways of doing this.

 1.      Developers type

2.       Web sphere  

 I chose developer option. So I achieved purpose in 3 CDs only.I couldn’t understood part called KDump. It needed more memory So I  skipped it.

       

Really I am distressed because two lives will be living on the same source of energy. Disk size divided and RAM is till 256MB. I seen Windows is running too slowly.(Confidential:  I tried such operations in College Lab also. So Now I am proficient in such work. )
