Facebook users are multiplying across the world more rapidly than Yahoo or Google with tireless efforts to realine the social network concepts. Year 2010 can be called as successful year for ‘Facebook’. As per the survey Facebook is claimed to be more popular than Google in United States. Surprised? Facebook has turned the mark of 633 million users in last October. Google is trying to progress on technological forefront. Latest innovations by Google like Google Wave, Google Buzz, YouTube tried to connect people with networking concept, but it faced problems of privacy violations.  During mid of last year facebook also faced controversy warning people not to share private information, they are trying to reconfigure the web through facebook concepts. Photo sharing functionality in facebook is also wild and aggressive enough to compete with Yahoo’s Flickr or Picasaweb by Google.  Messaging system in facebook is said to be e-mail killer, but it is actually trying to provide the messaging service faster keeping up the whole conversation history. Notifications also act like reminders in outlook.

$450 million of support from Goldman Sachs and movie ‘Social Network’ Aaron Sorkin has invigorated confidence and philosophy of Facebook’s owner, Mark Zuckerberg. In the Web 2.0 summit in November he told, “In the next five years almost every major product vertical is going to get rethought to be social, You’re either going to have an incumbent turn their business around, or some creative entrepreneurs with great engineers who are rethinking the product from scratch. Get on the bus.”

  1. woot, thankyou! I finally came to a site where the webmaster knows what they’re talking about. Do you know how many results are in Google when I search.. too many! It’s so annoying having to go from page after page after page, wasting my day away with thousands of people just copying eachother’s articles… bah.
