Movie Robot in IIMA curriculum

After the golden jubilee celebration of IIMA, It has been decided that Rajanikanth’s blockbuster movie “Robot” or  “Endhiran” original in Tamil will be part of curriculum of IIMA.

India’s Top B-School IIMA has added “Contemporary film industry” as an elective course from this year.  Making of “Robot” will be included as a case study for business, marketing analysis of this movie.

About Endhiran:  It is Sci-Fi fiction movie directed by S.Shankar. The film’s story revolves around a scientist’s struggle to control his creation, an android robot whose programme was upgraded to give it the ability to comprehend and generate human emotions. The plan backfires as the robot falls in love with the scientist’s fiancée and is further manipulated to bring destruction to the world when it lands in the hands of a rival scientist. How the robot is stopped from further destruction forms the rest of the plot.

Music for this film is given by A.R. Rahman. Movie was released on 31st July 2010 in Hindi and Tamil versions. In the first week itself, movie succeeded to collect 64 crores. It turned as highest grossing tamil movie and second highest Indian film (After 3 Idiot is the first).
