This sad news has left all classical music community in sadness. Legendary classical music vocalist, BharatRatna Pandit Bhimsen joshi passed away at the age of 88. His health was going through critical health situation from few days. During whole life of classical songs, he had enthralled all Indians with his charming voice.

He has received Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award in 1998. Below is the list of awards and recognition:
