Rajat Gupta resigns as ISB Chairman


Rajat Gupta, formar director of Goldman Sach, first Indian director of McKinsey has resigned as from the chariman of ISB(Indian School of Business). He is among the co-founder of ISB. He has quit from the Board of directors due to the Trading scam in Galleon Group.

Galleon Group founder Raj Rajaratnam and 25 others have been accused of trading based on insider information involving 35 companies. Most of these are the who’s who of technology companies including Intel Corp, Google Inc, Advanced Micro Devices Inc, Clearwire Corp and Akamai Technologies Inc. This allegedly led to $45-85 million in illicit profits. And Gupta allegedly provided inside help to Rajratnam.
